Implementations such as BCI (Better Cotton Initiative) and the consumption of Organic Cotton, Sustainable Lyocell (Tencel™ Lyocell) and Traceable Viscose (Lenzing™ Ecovera™) form a basis for our efforts of sustainability. It is given importance to reduce the environmental impact of our manufacturing operations. Because of our environmental concerns in dyeing and finishing operations, our company has chosen chemicals that are compliant with international requirements, biologically degradable, placed in positive lists and that have reduced impact on the environment since its foundation. Also, a serious effort is put in order to accomplish DETOX 2020 ZDHC objectives. Our staff is trained to work with chemicals thorough regularly delivered training sessions.
WASTE MANAGEMENT, CIRCULAR ECONOMY AND RECYCLE
Textile and agriculture originated solid waste of our company is classified at its source with respect to national and international requirements, declared to the Ministry of Environment and 99% of it is recycled. Necessary actions have been taken since our “Zero Waste Policy” became effective in 2019.Clean production applications which are developed to respond domestic and global industry-specific needs, and efforts of recycled raw material consumption which support circular economy model are performed via our projects. In order to decrease the environmental impact of our plant, production waste is re-used where it is possible.
Our company’s R&D and product development studies continue to use more biodegradable textile materials rather than synthetic materials.
